I’m happy to have you stop by This Is My Symphony where I write about what I read and what I live. My favorite titles are mid-list fiction–stories with strong writing, interesting characters, and plots that aren’t mundane. I’m not drawn to bestsellers, nor am I a YA fan, even though I taught teenagers for twenty-five years. I love time travel, but good ones are few and far between. Memoirs and contemporary non-fiction are on my TBR shelf, but I must admit that it’s quality fiction keeps my heart beating and my blood pumping.
If you are a publisher or author interested in a review, continue reading, check out my site, and see if the title you’re representing fits on these pages. (Note: I do not review self-published books.)
I am not interested in the following genres:
Fantasy/paranormal
Self-help
Politics
Sci-fi/horror
Thrillers/suspense
Romance
Religion
Children’s
In full disclosure, I have received complimentary advance reader’s copies from NetGalley, Edelweiss, and Blogging For Books, but the opinions expressed on This Is My Symphony are entirely my own and receiving an ARC/DRC does not guarantee a favorable review. My reviews are honest–but even when complimentary, I can be a finicky reader. I receive no financial compensation for any of the books I review. I am active on social media and often post reviews to my blog Facebook page, Goodreads, and Amazon.
